Greener Game: A Proposal to Make University Athletic Travel Carbon Neutral
This proposal is for use by Student Athletic Committees, NCCA
governing bodies, and University Athletic Departments. This template
can be adapted for use by any college or university. Our hope is that
Student Athletic Committees across the country will vote to approve
this proposal and submit it to their University’s Athletic Department,
NCAA Regional Conferences, and on up the line until climate neutrality
becomes an established priority of the NCAA. Student athletes are
leaders with a lot of influence. Your small actions could make a big
difference in the struggle to curb global climate change.
We will be expanding this area of our web site with toolkits that will help you take action. Some of them will include fact sheets, information about new and innovative approaches to environmental issues, and other items to help you take effective, focused action.
